According to USA Today, Spirit Airlines says it will begin charging customers $5 to have their boarding pass printed by an airport agent, and about this time next year will start charging $1 to use an airport kiosk to print boarding passes.
Customers can avoid the fees by checking in online, and Spirit has justified the new $5 fee by saying it will lower its fares by the same amount to offset the charge.
